The 2nd World Creativity Summit 第二屆全球創造力高峰會 2008 June 5-8

On behalf of the World Alliance for Arts Education I am writing to invite you to participate as a panel speaker in the 2008 WCS. This Summit will analyse how creativity, culture and arts education can develop strategies capable of responding to the global challenges of our time.

The foundations of this 2008 Summit were laid during the 2006 UNESCO World Congress for Arts in Education and in the 2007 World Creativity Summit. We hope you will contribute your expertise to our strategic debates and join 120 invited outstanding scholars, educationalists, artists, scientists, ministers, policy-makers and entrepreneurs who believe that our creativity, artistic languages and cultural capital significantly contribute to economic development and social transformation.

IDEA, InSEA, ISME and the World Dance Alliance – the current members of the WAAE – will each be represented by up to 20 of their own members who have each been selected to work with emerging partners from the worlds of industry, politics, media and research into education and creativity. The 2008 WCS Selection Committee has ensured as broad a representation of participants as possible.

All Summit participants will join one of three strategic working groups on Advocacy, Research or Networking, the WAAE current projects. These groups will meet during the Summit to design action-plans for the coming two years, leading up to the 2010 Summit. We would like to receive a 250 word synopsis of your 20 minute panel contribution to your chosen working group by no later than April 15.

Our final WCS programme will be available from May 1st. As with last year, the WAAE intends to publish the WCS panel presentations and outcomes on its website and in a post-Summit publication.

On behalf of the World Alliance for Arts Education we are writing to inform you about our forthcoming Summit which will discuss how creativity, culture and arts education can contribute to forming strategies that address the global challenges of our time.

This year’s Summit will gather 120 outstanding scholars, educationalists, artists, scientists, ministers, policy-makers and entrepreneurs who all believe that our creativity, artistic languages and cultural capital significantly contribute to economic development and social transformation.

All participants will be invited to join one of three strategic working groups: Advocacy, Research, or Networking. An availability to contribute to one of these Working Groups is one of the principal selection criteria for this year’s Summit.

We hope that IDEA, InSEA, ISME and the World Dance Alliance will each be represented by up to 20 of their members who will work with emerging WAAE partners from industry, politics, media and research into creativity. A WCS Selection Committee will ensure as broad a representation of arts-education and civil society as possible within the Summit.

If you are interested in participating in this Summit, please send a 200 word biography and a declaration of the working group you would be interested in joining by April 15. The WAAE will confirm your participation by April 20.

我謹代表世界藝術教育聯盟，在此誠摯的邀請您為該屆全球創造力高峰會提供專題演講或僅參與高峰會議(報名表如附件)。此次的高峰會將探討創造力、文化和藝術教育等相關議題，並研發具體策略以因應世界快速的轉變。

第二屆二○○八年全球創造力高峰會，乃肇始於二○○六年聯合國教科文組織世界藝術教育會議，並曾於二○○七年舉辦第一屆世界創造力高峰會。我們誠摯的希望您能參與且貢獻您的所長，與其他我們所邀請的一百二十位傑出學者、教育家、藝術家、科學家、相關機構首長、政策決策者以及企業家等，針對創造力、文化和藝術，對經濟發展和社會轉型的深遠影響共同討論。

世界藝術教育聯盟現今由：世界藝術教育學會，世界表演藝術教育學會，世界音樂教育學會以及世界舞蹈學會所結合而成。每個學會將推薦二十名其對於創造力領域有特殊研究的成員，提出世界之企業、政治、媒體及研究與教育和創造力之相互影響。此次二○○八年全球創造力聯盟審查委員會，保證會議參與者皆有一定的廣度及深度。

所有高峰會的參與者（學者專家、教師、學生或社會人士）可擇一參與世界藝術教育聯盟計畫之三項主題：倡導、研究、及互聯網。這些團體會在高峰會中進行討論，並提供未來兩年內（至二○一○年之高峰會）的行動計畫。我們希望能收到您將在小組討論的二十分鐘兩百五十字摘要，截止日期為二○○八年四月十五日（發表日期為六月五日與六月六日，發表方式以英語為原則）。此外，為了促進國內研究生對於「創造力與當代藝術教育」議題交流的機會，本高峰會議特地在會議的第三天下午舉辦「二○○八全球創造力高峰會研究生論壇」，以增加國內研究生的國際視野與專業素養。論壇主題為「創造力、文化與藝術教育」，欲參加發表之研究生，我們希望能在二○○八年四月二十日前，收到您的「論文中英文摘要與全文」，字數3000至5000字，12字體大，新細明體（英語Times New Roman），格式請參照最新版之APA格式，發表日期為六月七日下午（請自備PPT光碟或隨身碟），發表時間20分鐘（包含5分鐘的討論），發表語言中、英語不拘。

第二屆全球創造力高峰會日程綱要將於五月一日完成。世界藝術教育聯盟打算將世界創造力高峰會的專題發表以及結果出版於網頁或高峰會後刊物。
